Did You Know?
In 1960 Dr. Henry Singleton and Dr. George Kozmetsky formed a company called Teledyne. Loosely translated, Teledyne means Power Through Communication. Teledyne was formed to capitalize on the coming revolution in which digital technology would replace analog devices and systems in everything we could touch and imagine.
Teledyne has evolved considerably over the years. Today, Teledyne includes a focused set of complementary, high-tech businesses.
Our Instrumentation segment provides precise monitoring and control instruments for marine, environmental, scientific and industrial applications, as well as harsh environment interconnect products.
Teledyne's Digital Imaging segment designs and manufactures high performance sensors and digital cameras for use in industrial, scientific and medical applications. This segment also provides digital imaging products for government and space applications, including infrared detectors, cameras and optomechanical assemblies.
Our Aerospace and Defense Electronics segment provides sophisticated electronic subsystems and communications products, including defense electronics, data acquisition and communications equipment for air transport and business aircraft, and components and subsystems for wireless and satellite communications.
Through our Engineered Systems segment, our engineers and scientists provide systems engineering and integration, software development, and manufacturing solutions to space, military, environmental, energy, chemical, biological and nuclear systems and missile defense requirements.
